Ensuring access and identity management solutions are privacy-proof.

THE ESSENCE OF PRIVACY

Privacy is a critical and mandatory consideration in access and identity management solutions. Organizations bear a broad responsibility to handle personal data appropriately. Nsecure supports organizations in designing and implementing privacy-compliant (GDPR-proof) access and security solutions, safeguarding the privacy of employees, contractors, and visitors.

Benefits

Privacy management

  • Confidence that access and identity management solutions comply with GDPR.
  • Reduced risk of data breaches, penalties, or reputational damage.
  • Enhanced insight into privacy risks and how to address them effectively.
Our Vision

A BROAD RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRIVACY

Organizations are increasingly responsible for privacy management, especially when it comes to access, security, or identity solutions involving personal data. This includes the collection of personal information such as names, addresses, employee, contractor, and visitor data, as well as photos or biometric information like iris scans or fingerprints. What data is collected, who has access to it, and how long it is retained are key considerations. Additionally, video surveillance must comply with GDPR requirements. But what else should your organization be mindful of?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Privacy Management

  • A DPIA – short for Data Protection Impact Assessment – is a thorough risk analysis that weighs the privacy interests of individuals against the necessity of (effective) security measures. A well-conducted DPIA outlines all potential scenarios, the possible security measures, and the personal data that may be processed. The proposed security measures are then assessed against the GDPR regulations.

  • In a DPIA, also known as a Data Protection Impact Assessment, all relevant privacy aspects of the solution are mapped out by a certified CIPP/E privacy consultant, risks are identified, and control measures are recommended.

  • Privacy is an important and mandatory topic in the context of access, security, and identity management applications. According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Europe’s privacy legislation, organizations have a broad responsibility to handle personal data properly. Since access, security, and identity management solutions frequently process various types of personal data, it is crucial to ensure that these processes are demonstrably in compliance with GDPR regulations. This can be achieved through conducting a DPIA: a Data Protection Impact Assessment during the project’s initiation or design phase, which results in an advisory report.
