Nsecure has held the SOC 2 Type II Assurance Declaration since February 2022, a rarity within the access & security industry. This ensures that the personal data processed by Nsecure as an IT security service provider is safer than ever.

What is SOC 2 Type II?

SOC 2 was developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and defines criteria for managing customer data based on five “trust service principles”:

Security
Availability
Processing Integrity
Confidentiality
Privacy

SOC 2 focuses on ensuring that information security and privacy are appropriately managed concerning the data processed or hosted by Nsecure. The key difference between SOC 2 Type II and ISO certifications is that ISO certification provides a snapshot assessment at a specific moment, while SOC 2 Type II evaluates the operation of security controls over a longer period, with periodic assessments conducted by independent, specially trained accountants.

What does this mean for Nsecure and our services?

Given the sensitivity of the topics addressed within the Security domain, Nsecure aims to assure its clients of the highest standards when it comes to IT security. During the SOC 2 Type II Assurance, it was assessed whether Nsecure effectively operates according to established procedures and controls. Achieving the SOC 2 certification means that as a service provider, processes have been established with the required security levels across the organization to protect data.
