Raising Awareness About Safety
In 2014, Shell Pernis set a benchmark in safety with the opening of its dedicated Safety Center, where all required safety training for employees and contractors takes place. Over the years, 58,000 individuals have completed safety training at the center. To maintain its leadership in safety standards, the Safety Center has been fully modernized in close collaboration with Nsecure, incorporating new learning methods and a more realistic experience center.
Tailored Safety Training
The updated Safety Center offers training tailored to specific roles. For example, a groundworker undergoes different training compared to an electrician. Additionally, mandatory safety training is now more accessible through e-learning modules available on tablets, phones, or computers, ensuring that anyone working at Shell Pernis is fully up-to-date with the latest safety protocols.
Experience the Shell Safety Center
On Friday, November 8, 2019, the revamped Safety Center was officially opened by Jos van Winsen, General Manager of Shell Pernis, and Wilco Bezemer, Director of SIP’s United. The new facility combines cutting-edge technology with innovative learning environments to enhance safety awareness and preparedness.
