Cross-Border Security Solution for DPG Media

Q-Music, De Volkskrant, VTM, HLN, and De Morgen—Belgian media group DPG Media encompasses over 90 news brands, magazines, TV programs, radio stations, and online services. Nsecure has been a trusted partner of DPG Media for years. Following the successful migration to a unified security policy for their offices in the Netherlands, Nsecure was once again called upon to lend its knowledge and expertise during the construction of a brand-new headquarters in Antwerp.

A Longstanding Partnership with DPG Media

Since 2011, Nsecure has collaborated with DPG Media, which was then known as De Persgroep. Initially, Nsecure handled access control for printing facilities in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Over the years, the partnership has grown, and today, Nsecure manages access control and video surveillance for all DPG Media locations.

After successfully standardizing the security systems across offices in the Netherlands, Nsecure was tasked with implementing a unified access control system for all DPG Media sites in Belgium during the construction of their new Antwerp headquarters.

Access Control and Video Management from the Ground Up: Antwerp Headquarters

Located at Mediaplein in Antwerp, DPG Media’s striking new office required a robust safety plan from the start. While the building’s first bricks were being laid, Nsecure developed the security strategy for the new location. This effort came with its own set of challenges, not only typical of large-scale construction projects but also compounded by COVID-19 restrictions, which demanded flexibility and creativity from Nsecure and its suppliers.

Around the same time, DPG Media’s Vilvoorde site—its entertainment hub—underwent renovations. This location had multiple access systems, creating confusion for both employees and management. The renovation was an opportunity to implement the same access control systems used elsewhere, resulting in a cross-border access and security policy for DPG Media spanning Belgium and the Netherlands.
